ORGANIC / NATURAL / LOW SULPHITE
Deep red with purple hues in the glass, it’s a little hazy as it’s unfiltered. The nose is full of dark forest fruit and cherry, and a slight funky animal note that softens with air. Plenty of chocolate, baking spice and coffee, and notable tannins are balanced by good acidity, which also helps lighten the body.
After growing and selling grapes for years, the Dietrich family started making their own wine in 2016, in line with their low intervention approach in and out of the vineyard. Brothers Jean and Pierre now produce a full range of natural wines, all unfined and unfiltered, and with minimal sulphur added. They also launched a negoce project, Pepin, which helps smaller growers come together with optimal results.
