ORGANIC / NATURAL / VEGAN / LOW SULPHITE
This wine has a lovely straw-yellow hue with golden edges, offering a balanced and smooth texture. The aromas are of quince, accented by floral notes, and the palate has a subtle touch of sweet spices and Mediterranean herbs like sage.
It’s crafted by Dimitri Brečević, the son of a Frenchwoman and an Istrian father, using native Croatian grapes. Dimitri’s winemaking journey began in the French Basque Country (Jurançon), where he was born, and he studied oenology in France. His experience spans top wine regions such as Bordeaux, Burgundy, Australia, and New Zealand. In 2004, he returned to his father’s homeland in Istria, where he now creates wines using an old Mussolini-era concrete water tank near the town of Buzet.
The unique Istrian climate, with cold winters and the bura wind, helps preserve acidity and aromas in the grapes, especially during the cooler September nights when harvest typically happens. This terroir and climate contribute to the fresh and aromatic profile of his wines.
